USPGA Championship

Starting off my blog with a miss cut, not the best way to say hello! The course was playing really long at this time of year! Which of course is no excuse but it was a grind to the end resulting in a weekend off in New York.

After the miss cut decided to play and turned out a very strange week. So many birdies and bogeys on a course I general play well, made the cut but same story over the weekend, so very disappointing.

United Kingdom

Packed the whole family up for the summer and off to the house in England. Started the week off filming for my new sponsors DP World, some really interesting content which we will share very soon.

After filming we went to see @davidyarrow in Knightsbridge London who is the best black and white photographer in the world. His artwork is amazing! We actually sold one of his paintings to Neville for 40K USD at the Dreamflight charity event last December.

Being back at Woburn is special for me! Apart from the sausage sandwiches and playing the 3 amazing course had time to try out the new Titleist U500 4I + TS2 hybrids +TS4 driver.

We also had the Club Championship the first weekend. Very proud to share that Luke came 5th in the stroke play and won the net stableford, HCP cut there, Luke!

BBQ + Cars

Preparing for our F288 GTO tour went over to @tomHartleyjnr for BBQ and to spend some time in their showroom. Check out these pictures, it really is a ‘petrol heads’ heaven!

Home practice area

Been a while since we were here and really needed to give some TLC to my practice area. So I brought in Tony from @Tourgreens to carry out a full service. Look at these pictures before and after, the results are pretty impressive. Josh and Luke really enjoyed working on their shorts game and we had some fun with difficult bunker shots which I filmed and shared on social media. www.tourgreens-europe.com

US Open

I was looking forward to Pebble – the course suits my eye and the Monterey Peninsula is special, staying at Spanish bay. Felt really good in the practice rounds and even after an over par round on the 1st day, had the feeling I would make the cut. Until reaching the 3rd hole on Friday, posting an 8 and missing the cut by just 2 shots.

Guess the course punished me for my pink and lavender ensemble so managed to get a last seat on a flight back to UK and spent the Father’s day with the family. There is some balance in life!

Ferrari 288 GTO Tour

So here we go, with @TomHartleyjnr we put together 10 cars from around the world to make this trip.

Day 1

Visited Ferrari, toured the assembly line and the Tailor Made department,  then moved on to Chateau de Bagnols 1217, a spectacular castle for the start of our tour with 10 288 GTO's from all over the world.

Day 2

We drove down the most breathtaking route through Col de Vence stopping at Bastide de Tour for lunch (the Ferrari service guys worked on a faulty relay switch) and then through some amazing roads to Chateau Saint-Martin for the evening.

Day 3

Finishing up in Monaco and parked the cars outside Hotel de Paris in Casino Square. This has been the most amazing experience to share with our wives, friends old and new, memories we will have forever.

As I am writing this already have withdrawals from the trip, missing the coffee chats and wonderful roads. But already planning next year which makes me more motivated and hungry. The question is what car shall we do it in next year?
In closing – it has been a strange month on the golf course and an amazing time off with maybe one of the most special moments of my life making this trip with Mrs P and friends.
Now back to serious work with the Irish, Scottish, Open Championship and WGC Fed-ex in Memphis next 4 weeks. Good results needed to climb up the world rankings and Fed-Ex standings.

Until next time
